Russians in the heat are poisoned by watermelons and perishable products

The August in Russia started with the great number of food poisoning. It has doubled compared to the previous year, because of the anomalous heat wave that doesn't contribute to the storage of the food.

Watermelons are hazardous because they absorb the smog and emissions from the cars. During the strong heat wave they also tend to get rotten easily, which may cause the poisoning.

Doctors recommend waiting the traditional watermelon season, which is late August-early September.
